Let's learn and play together!
Wow that man was brave...
I think that we should not follow from that group of teenagers:1)We should not eat in the train as it is clearly indicated on the caution signs.2)We should also not continue to munch away as if nothing had happened when an elder tells us to stop. They are always correct and want us not to get hurt, fined etc. I think we should follow the man who stood up and his wife:1)We should tell someone to stop doing whatever he/she is doing incorrectly and do it not violently, but with care.2)We should press the emergency stop button(in trains)or inform the bus captain(in buses)if anything get ulgy just in case anything happens or goes wrongly.
I think in the first place the girl shouldn't be eating on the train. Because it can dirty the train and might cause some accidents do happen. Maybe the girl forgotten to take her breakfast, but in any case she shouldn't have ate in the train. xD
I think that it is the girl's fault, she should not eat in the train as it is one of the rules and the boy should not be so rude, such as to challenge a fight and uttering vulgarities to the man.I am glad that there was someone who stood up and told them that was wrong and his wife also pressed the emergency button when things get ugly in case it gets out of control.:D
Fighting does not solve any problems at all though it makes the problem worse. Firstly eating or drinking in MRT is prohibited. Standing up for the girl showing the heroic sides of that man? No, I don't think so.
I think that what the man in black did was right, but should have not told the girl off, instead he should have politely told the girl to stop eating.I think that the boy should not have dared the man to fight and hurl vurgarities at the man. The girl eating on the train then should have just simply apologised and stopped eating.
That man was brave as he told the teenager not to break the rules. He did the right thing. The teenager should not eat in the MRT.But even she is hungry, she could just get off at the nearest MRT station and eat there. By eating in the train, she is just causing troubles that can lead to dangers. The girl's boyfriend also did the wrong thing too.He should just tell his girlfriend not to do such a thing and call her to stop her mistake immediately. Instead, he stood up for girlfriend and also wanted to challenge the man into a fight. It's a shame that they(boyfriend+girlfriend) did such a thing...
Singaporeans usually never tell people in an MRT train no eating is allowed. The man did what was right.
I think the man in black was right. In the rules we are not allowed to eat and drind in the MRT train. He was brave to tell the girl not to eat in the MRT train, but when things get worse he should not have get involed. But luckily, his wife was there and she press the emergency button.Or things might just got worse...
although it was the girl's fault but the man should just warned her.the man who wanted to challenged him is very rude as he posed a fighting pose to scare him. i think that the wife is doing a great job as she pressed the emergency button.how's your holiday?
The girl should not be eating on the train in the first place. The man in black did the right thing. He should be praised not challanged
The man in black had did the right thing as the girl should not be eating on the MRT Train the man in white who is the girl's boyfriend is also in wrong as he know that eating in the MRT Train is not allowed but he still shielded the girl. actually eating on the public transports are all not allowed if you are caught by anyone, you will get fine.
I think firstly, the girl teenager should not eat in the train andsecondly, I think the man in black was brave enough to tell the girl off in the public. Thirdly, I do not like the way the boy in white tried to challenge the man when he was doing the right thing. We should act like the the man,,and he should be praised for helping to keep the train clean by telling the girl not to consume food.
hmmm... i am starting to debate... The girl may be fasting, had not taken breakfast/lunch or has gastric pains so painful that she would had strave to death if she never eat, so she needed to eat a sandwich on the train... but she was wrong to eat on the bus. the man in black was right in confronting the girl. there are many people who eat on the bus or train but nobody stops them. when i catch a P6 hong wenian eating to a bus, i go and scolded him, but was scolded by his friends... if there will many of people like the man in black, the buses and trains will be cleaner and neater. the world will be a better place to live in. the goverment should introduce a new award to award the people who often scolds the people who eat in the bus and do something bad to the people who eat in the bus (make them clean up rubbish in the bus e.g.)
I don't understand why the girl's friend had to challege the man who confronted them. He, as a friend of the girl should tell her to stop immediately upon seeing what she was doing but instead he even protected her when he knew what the girl was doing was wrong. They should be ashamed of themselves. In the photo, it was obvious that the man telling them off was older than them, they should respect him and apologise immediately. Upon seeing this, a normal person's reaction would be" Didn't their parents teach them properly?" I am sure that their parents would be ashamed too. Sighs...
I think that the girl should not be eating in the MRT in the first place. The man gathered courage to speak up to her.
The girl should not be eating in the MRT. The man did the right thing.
what type of friend is this ? the girl's friend should tell her to stop but instead he chose to challenge the man
What the girl did was wrong , eating on the MRT could dirty the place . If visitors from other countries saw them , it could leave them a bad impression on Singaporeans.
It is right that the man told of the girls for eating in the train. But why does the girl's friend retaliate and pick up a fight for a small matter?
Interesting comments. Nearly all of you supported the action's of the man who had confronted the girl. I am just shocked that the other man challenged the man. Sometimes these things happen. We must remember to walk away if people do not want to listen. I also hope that we grow up to be gracious Singaporeans and remember to take care of Singapore in anyway possible.
I think we should ignore them.If they want to get fined it is their own problem. The girl's friend should just back off as it is true ,even if you continue challenging the (old) man ,in the end you will just get into a fight. The conclusion is do not get into fights and do not fight against problems that you cannot win.
I just realised that most of you said Man in black which reminded me of Men in black... lol a just a joke!
I think that the man in black is doing the right thing, while the man in white should not argue with the man in black.
The man is very brave as most of the Singaporeans do not tell the others for doing something wrong.
The girl's boy friend stand up for his girlfriend is totalty wrong.if he contiune carry on his rude ways,he will meet trouble or dangerous figthing.
I think we should do the same thing as the man wearing in black. We should gather our courage and tell them not to eat in the train.Actually we should tell them that they should not eat in the air-conditioned public transport etc.
I think he's doing the right thing and that the boy in white should learn some respect. If the boy in white didn't want his friend to be told off by the man not to eat in the train, he should tell her not to eat in the train in the first place. I think either the boy in white felt it was 'inappropriate' for the man to tell his friend not to eat in the train, or he was pissed off by the man's tone when the man told his friend not to eat in the train. Tones can change how people think about you. Anyway, hardly anyone tells someone else not to eat in the train. Singaporeans always mind their own business and don't really care about others.( I'm not saying you or my classmates! Don't get me wrong!)
